Murderhorn
Climb the ruthless slopes of Murderhorn, unleash absurd power, and discover what a mountain remembers about the tiny lives crossing it.
Overview
Murderhorn is a short, progressively escalating incremental game built around a simple yet striking idea: a mountain that endures while humans briefly pass across its summit. Inspired by the proverb, “You can't talk about ice with a summer insect,” the game subtly explores perspective, permanence, and the fleeting nature of ambition.
Designed to be concise and focused, the experience blends dry humor, light philosophical undertones, and satisfying incremental mechanics into a compact but memorable journey.
Gameplay Guide
You take on the role of a mountain that appears indifferent to the steady stream of visitors climbing to its peak. Tourists arrive in groups, military forces attempt to conquer it, and the scale of activity steadily increases — yet the mountain itself remains unchanged.
You begin with minimal power and gradually expand your influence through a range of upgrades that enhance strength, income generation, and overall impact.
Resources are earned by interacting with visitors and defending the mountain. As your income grows, new upgrade paths become available, allowing you to:
- Increase offensive power
- Expand passive income sources
- Multiply global earnings
- Attract larger crowds
- Confront stronger enemies for greater rewards
The progression is deliberate and satisfying. Each upgrade layer builds momentum, transforming humble beginnings into overwhelming force. What starts as a simple snowball eventually becomes something far more powerful — while the mountain itself remains unmoved.
