Side Effects
Side Effects is a psychological horror strategy game where every decision could mean life or death. Will you survive this deadly game of chance? Inspired by Buckshot Roulette, Side Effects plunges players into a nerve-wracking experience where each round forces them to ingest mysterious pills—some healing, some harmful, and some instantly lethal.
Gameplay: A Deadly Pill Roulette
At its core, Side Effects is a high-stakes, turn-based game of survival. Each round presents a fresh set of unidentified pills with unpredictable outcomes:
- Helpful Pills – Restore health, boost resistance, or provide strategic benefits.
- Harmful Pills – Damage resistance, cause hallucinations, or impair performance.
- Deadly Pills – Instantly end the game.
Between rounds, players can choose from a variety of experimental treatments—such as vaccines, injectors, or unsettling tools like mouth clamps—that may shift the odds in their favor. But every advantage comes with a risk, and nothing is ever guaranteed.
Tips to Survive the Madness
- Take your pills cautiously. Identify patterns, but never trust them blindly.
- Use experimental items wisely. They can offer critical support—but may backfire.
- Monitor your resistance. If it drops to zero, it’s game over.
- Outplay your opponent. This is as much a mind game as it is survival—bluff, observe, and outlast.
