Gameplay: Speed, Spin, and Save the World!

In Sonic The Hedgehog 2, you control the iconic blue hedgehog as he dashes through vibrant zones, collecting golden rings, and freeing animals trapped by the evil Dr. Robotnik (aka Dr. Eggman). This time, Sonic is joined by his trusty sidekick, Tails, a two-tailed fox who can fly and swim, adding new ways to explore levels.

Players control Sonic as he runs, jumps, spins, and dashes through twelve colorful, enemy-filled zones ranging from underwater ruins to glitzy casinos. Each level is packed with hidden paths, loop-de-loops, spikes, and robotic enemies known as Badniks. Collect golden rings to stay safe—getting hit without any rings means losing a life.
