Overview

Deltarune is a role-playing game, set in a world where humans and monsters live side by side. You play as Kris, a quiet human who unexpectedly falls into the Dark World. Joined by Susie, a rebellious classmate, and Ralsei, a kind-hearted prince, Kris must help seal the Dark Fountain to prevent disaster. Along the journey, the group faces strange enemies, builds unexpected friendships, and navigates decisions that blur the line between mercy and violence.

Gameplay

Deltarune combines turn-based battles with puzzle-solving and story-driven exploration. Players move through top-down environments filled with secrets, interactable objects, and quirky dialogue. Unlike Undertale, enemies appear directly on the map and can be avoided or confronted.

During battles, players choose actions for each party member while dodging enemy attacks in real-time by moving a heart icon (the soul) through a bullet-hell-style box. Each enemy is distinct, with unique behaviors and multiple ways to resolve the fight—through combat or compassion.
